Terms of Service
Last updated June 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Abdal Hakeem Hannoon (“we”, “us”) governing your use of Spotter. By creating an account or using Spotter, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. The service
Spotter is a fitness-logging app with an AI coach. A free tier covers workout logging, history and editing, bodyweight tracking, progress charts, data export, and receiving shared plans. Spotter Pro, a paid subscription, adds image/photo analysis, the coaching personas, sending plan shares, AI plan generation, and exercise videos.
2. Not medical or professional advice
Important. Spotter is a fitness tool, not a medical service. Its content, AI-generated plans, coaching messages, and exercise suggestions are for general informational purposes only and are not medical, health, nutritional, or professional advice. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for you. Always consult a qualified physician or professional before starting any exercise or nutrition program, and stop and seek help if you feel unwell. You exercise at your own risk, and you are responsible for training safely and within your limits.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to buy a subscription, and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
- Free trial. Spotter Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. If you don’t cancel before it ends, your subscription begins automatically and the payment method on file is charged.
- Price & renewal. Spotter Pro is $13.99 per month, billed through Stripe. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Profile. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then stops; you won’t be charged again.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we don’t provide partial refunds for unused time.
- Price changes. We may change the price with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to the billing period after the notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others’ rights using the service;
- upload content you don’t have the right to, or that is harmful, abusive, or violates someone’s privacy;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure; or
- resell or misuse the service or its AI features.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the data and content you put into Spotter(your logs, photos, and notes). You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, and transmit it to operate the service for you — including sending relevant content to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for the content you upload and share.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Spotter is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Abdal Hakeem Hannoon will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or for any injury arising from your use of the service or your exercise activity. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Termination
You can stop using Spotter and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers and liability limits) continue to apply.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless your local law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continuing to use Spotter after a change means you accept the updated terms.
